NEDA Year End Awards

Somewhat older news:
http://neda.org/YearEndAwards.html
If you go to the FEI Awards for 2012, Die Oder Keine (Kina) and I won 4th place for Intermediare I.  What a good girl!  She is a horse that has taught me a huge amount, and I wish her new owner the same experience in Florida.

Discounted Lessons... Anyone?

http://neda.org/Education-Flextime.html
Please check out this link to New England Dressage Association's Flextime program!  It is a way for Amateurs and Young riders to receive discounted lessons from top instructors in the region, with all proceeds going to the Region 8's Juniors and Young Riders Team.  I have donated some lessons as well as many top instructors in the country that just happen to reside in New England.  Take a look!

Show Season Approaches

I am looking forward to spring and the fact that my horse, who currently looks like a yeti, will shed out and have his tail washed soon...

In the mean time, here are the shows Cloverlea may be attending this year:

Yikes!  Much time has passed but many amazing things have happened.  Here are a couple of photos of Icaro and myself, taken by MacKenzie Cooley, from this summer.  He is such a fancy boy.  We actually are celebrating our second year in the Hampton Green Farm 70 club, for receiving scores above 70% this past fall at First Level.
This winter has been a little chilly but not stopping us at Cloverlea!  We are hibernating tonight due to Nemo, but both Beth and I attended the FEI Trainer's Conference with Stephan Peters (amazing) and the Dressage Masters, both in Wellington, FL in January.  I have arrived home not only immensely inspired but also encouraged that our training at our little Connecticut farm is right in line with the masters.  I am loving the layers of understanding (as Beth says) of dressage one may obtain.

Summer time is beautiful at Cloverlea Farm!  This photo is courtesy of Ali Richie and shows Telurico schooling with the outdoor arena in full bloom.
Speaking of Telurico, congratulations to his owner Pierre Pirard on his good score at the Westbrook Hunt Club show June 23-24.  He got a 61%, with a very steady test in the Intermediare 1.
Also at Westbrook was Kina, owned by Bernadette Szost, with a fantastic showing in the same class.  She received a 63% Saturday, and a 65% Sunday coming in second place.
The show was warm and sunny, and as always put on but the wonderful Centerline Events.
Congratulations, more photos coming soon!
